Start again
From the very beginning, we’re much further ahead of the actual beginning than we realise. We always come with some relevant knowledge, some relevant experience, and some relevant relationships and it’s up to us to recognise these and use these so that the next time we “start” again, we’re much further ahead than where we are now.
The cycle is simple – we start, we succeed, we fall, and we learn. So, we start again, we succeed a bit better, we fall a bit harder and we learn a bit more. We get up and start again (again), we succeed more than we ever imagined we could, we fall less than we expected we would, and we never stop learning.
If we stop learning, it means we never recovered from the fall. If we never recovered from the fall, it means we are still falling. If we’re still falling, the pain to start again becomes overwhelming and that prevents us from getting up, more than the pain from the fall itself.
Wherever you are, get up and start again. For every “start”, you have the lessons from before, you have the people from before, you have more clarity than before, and you have more focus than before; with every “start” you can achieve more than before.
Start now, so that when you start again you are much further from the beginning than you ever expected this “start” could take you.
