When I lose hope

When I lose hope, does God still listen to my prayers?

When I lose love, does my family still protect me?

When I lose motivation, do my friends still believe I can succeed?

When I walk away, are the opportunities still open to me?

When I close myself away, will the sun still shine on me?

We are not, CAN NOT, always be at our best. The road to success is filled with challenges of faith, commitment, determination, ideas and willpower. But not being our best, does NOT mean that we’re not DOING OUR BEST at any given time with the information, with the strength, and with the support that we have.

Who knows when “the lesson that keeps repeating” is the hint that it’s time to walk away or a test to see how committed we are in our pursuit of the goal? In hindsight, we can look back and judge what the lessons were. But we have to make decisions at the point that the challenge presents itself, we have to live with the consequences, and we have to endure the doubts that arise if these consequences do not include a step towards the success we are aiming towards.

Rather than changing a path or taking ourselves off of it altogether, we need to work on strengthening ourselves from within. This strength will see us through our walk through the path of hardships. We need to see ourselves as worthy of forgiveness, we need to see ourselves as worthy of success, we need to see ourselves as worthy of love. Start by looking in the mirror and say “I AM WORTHY”, write down in a journal “I AM WORTHY”, and act with the assumption that you will succeed because YOU ARE WORTHY.

You ARE worthy, even when you lose hope. Remember, just because you lost it, doesn’t mean it can’t be found again.

The sun shines indiscriminately whether you ask it or not. It will fight through the clouds and strive to bring light and warmth anywhere and everywhere, because IT CAN, so IT DOES.

Opportunities exist everywhere at all times if you see them or not. They are the infinite connections which have yet to be made between ideas and between people. They are JUST THERE, waiting to be noticed and amplified amongst people.

Friends believe you will succeed at being the best version of yourself, whether they say as much or not. What “the best version of yourself” means exactly is up to you. It is always the case that friends will stick by you because they value you, if for no other reason than that you inspire them to become a better version of themselves.

Family SHOULD protect you, but sometimes they are limited in their resources. You must remember that family also RELY ON YOU to protect them. Family lean on each other to help build one another. We must all strive to become someone our family can lean on in their time of struggle.

As a Divine entity that knows all and loves all, God listens, God loves and God knows our finite life is full of struggles. God trusts us to find skills, find people and find prayer to lift us up from our falls.

Life continues around us, people mingle around us, and God continues to surround us. Hope that is lost will be found again; we just need to keep going.
