Less is more

Doing less produces more. More time to think, more time to breathe, more motivation to commit, and because of that, more consistency. Doing less gives more gravitas to what you’re doing, more anticipation for what it is you are offering, and more meaning to your contribution.

There is so much more you could read, so much more you could learn, so much more you could contemplate, so much more you could resolve… so much more, until the sheer amount numbs you from doing anything at all. So do less. In doing less, you have already given value to what you are doing by prioritising it over what you have chosen not to do. Do less so that you do something, and that way it will be worth so much more.

There are so many more physical activities you could do, so much more healthy cooking you could prepare, so much more meditation you could practice and so much more sleep you should probably be getting… so much more, until your body collapses. So do less. In doing less, you have given yourself the opportunity to nourish the body in the way that you enjoy best. Do less so that you can love moving in and being in your body again.

There are so many more people you could meet up with, so many more contacts you could be networking with, so many more family members you meet up with, so many more needy people you could care for… so many more, that you lose yourself in the process of interacting with everyone else. So do less. In doing less, you allow yourself and the people with you to enjoy each other’s company and mutually enrich each other’s growth and passions. Do less so that you can love who you are with, and love who you are when you are with them.

There is so much more you could do. But doing less means you’re definitely doing. Doing less means you’ve chosen what you love, how you love and who you love. Doing less means that what you are doing is more meaningful, more impactful, and more nourishing.

Doing less means you are actually doing so much more.
